Hi Em,
Happy Chinese New Year!!!!! I hope you have a really great year ahead :-). I know they will be late but I posted you some New Year presents yesterday. Here is a photo of them - hope you like them!
Chinese New Year presents 2007
It has been really hot and dry here this month, Em. I wish that we would get some rain for a change. I am topping up the water in my little pond out the back and the frogs are all fine, though I don't want to think about what would happen if I wasn't topping up the pond. Anyway they are very beautiful and a delight to watch. I tried to take another photo of them today but it was another dud. So I'll keep trying and put a good one here if I ever succeed!
I'll be going to New Zealand in a couple of weeks for a short holiday. It will be really nice to take some time off work and to see Grandma,Grandpa and your relatives in New Zealand. It should be a bit cooler too (as I'm writing this it is 9.30pm at night but the house still feels like an oven :-0 ).
I'm still trying to catch public transport to work most days and this is pretty good. I get more exercise and I also get the chance to read more during the journey. I read a wonderful book just before called "The man who was Thursday" by G.K. Chesterton. It is quite an old book written in 1908. The story is about a poet who is trying to save the world from crazy anarchists. I found it exciting and also very moving. I think you would like it.
Wishing a wonderful New Year celebration and all the very best for the year ahead
Lots and lots of love,
Aaron :-)
