Hi Em,
Hope you are fine! It is ANZAC day today, so a holiday in Australia and New Zealand. I had a nice quiet day at home. I did a few jobs around the house (though I could have done more really!). I did sit in the back garden reading a book for a while, which was very relaxing :-). We had some good rain last weekend , the first for weeks, which was a relief for the garden. The drought is still quite bad though. I hope it breaks soon!
Grandma (my Mum) is coming here for a visit next Thursday (May 3). It should be fun and Grandma will help celebrate my birthday on May 14. I'll be 40 years old, which sounds terribly old. Can you believe that? You will be having a birthday soon too, which will be very exciting. You'll be twelve years old, a very nice age to be!!
I had better go to bed now as it is getting late (and I have to take my old car to the garage early tomorrow. It has a broken exhaust again, so it sounds very noisy!). Hope you have a great week and thinking of you always.

Hello Em,
It is Good Friday morning today. I'm about to go to church so I'll write only a little bit now and more later! Last night I went to the Maundy Thursday communion service at 8pm. There were only a few people there but I always find this a special service. After the service I helped Don, Beryl and Hilden decorate the church for the Friday morning service. Part of this was hanging a black cloth over the cross that hangs high up in church ceiling. This involved me throwing a ball of string up over the cross and pulling up the cloth behind it. It was fun!
I have bought you a few small presents for Easter Sunday (but obviously I'm terribly late in posting them to you!). I want to get you one more thing - I'll do that on this Saturday and then post them to you!
