Hello Em,
I hope you are fine. I had a work sales conference last weekend. It was in Hope Island, the Gold Coast. It went for 4 days from last Saturday to Tuesday. I managed to get a small award at the conference so I was pleased about that. It was interesting to see the Gold Coast too. Here is a photo that I took there.

The nicest part was that on Monday afternoon we had some free time, so I was able to catch the train up to Brisbane and see my Aunt Jan and my cousins Audrey and Tim for a couple of hours. It was really nice to catch up with them. We had a quick look at the Brisbane river and then a drink and a look around in the Art Gallery. Here are some photos - hope you like them!

I hope you are having a good time where you are, Em. It is still pretty cold here. I did some gardening today and planted a few more little natives in the back garden. Hopefully they do well.
Thinking of you always Em and sending you my very best wishes.
Lots and lots of love,
Aaron :-)

Hi Emma,
I hope you are fine. It is the Queen's Birthday holiday today in Australia. It has been a nice relaxing day, though it was pretty cold. I did a bit of work in the garden today. The weed oxalis has been going wild in parts of the garden and it is really hard to get rid of :-(. I can't just pull it out by hand, I have to try to dig up all the little bulbs as well. Apart from that my little australian natives are still doing well, so that is nice.
I have just been watching Australia playing Japan in the World Cup Football tonight. Australia looked like they were going to lose one to nil for a large part of the game but at the end they got three goals in the last eight minutes, so they were very lucky! I remember watching New Zealand play in the World Cup (I think in 1986?) but they haven't got there again since then.
I hope you are having a good time where you are, Em. I guess it must be the middle of summer where you are, so I hope you are not too hot and that you are enjoying some nice weather!
Take care and thinking of you always.
Lots and lots of love,
Aaron :-)
