Hi Emma,
I am writing to say 'HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY EMMA!!!'. I hope you are having a really lovely day. I have been thinking happy thoughts about you all day so I hope you picked them up:-). I hope my presents for you arrived in time, too!
Things are fine here. I just got my assignment finished and submitted this morning. It was the usual mad panic that always happens before the deadline. It is fun to write computer programs though. I think I'm very slowly getting better at this.
I have to go to work for a bit tomorrow morning as they have just upgraded the computer system and it will start operation then. We need to go in to test that everything looks OK. Hopefully it won't take too long!
Lulu is fine. It is quite cold here now so she has got a thick coat for winter. I put the heater on tonight and she was very happy to be sitting beside it. I like the new house here in Quarry Road with its wooden floors but it is a bit colder in the winter. I think it would be nice to get a warm fluffy rug for the lounge. Do you think that is a good idea?
Wishing you a very very happy tenth birthday Emma. It would be lovely if I could have see you but at least I can send things and write to you here. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can get in touch.
Love you very very much and sending you my very best thoughts and wishes.
Lots and lots of love,
Aaron :-)

Hi Em,
I hope you are fine. Well, today is my birthday and I'm 38 years old. I'm not getting any younger , am I!
I finally posted your birthday presents to you today. Your birthday is very soontoo. You'll be into double figures, so good on you! Below is a sphoto of the presents that I sent to you , Emma. I hope you like them!!
P.S. I did buy one other little present for you that isn't shown here. It is a computer game called 'Sitting Ducks'.
I got some nice birthday presents from Grandma and Grandpa today. I got a book, some clothes, some sweets (yum!) and a greenstone pendant (in Maori it is called ponamu, just like your greenstone pig). Tonight I will have dinner with my Karen and see a movie. But now I should be doing more on my assignment which is due soon.
Love you heaps and heaps,
Aaron :-)
