Hi Emma,
Grandma (my Mum) has just finished visting here. It was really nice to see her. Grandma arrived on Friday 19/8/05 in the morning. I had taken the day off work so I could pick her up from the airport (though I was a bit late!). Afterwards we went to Bundalook nursery in Blackburn where we got lots of indigenous plants from a nice lady there called Liz. It rained a lot that day so it was lucky we had our umbrellas! The next day (20/8) we went for a walk along the Yarran Dheran up to Schwerkolt Cottage. The wlak so lovely but it was a bit of a shock to come out of the trees near Schwerkolt cottage and see them digging the freeway tunnel.
That week Granma did a lot of work in the garden and it really looks good. I did help a bit but I was had to go to work and also finish my second assignment. Last night Alex from church visited for dinner. I think you will remember Alex Lyne (he is the very nice man in his mid nineties). It was quite a wet, stormy night and as we were eating dinner we had a power cut! I found a couple of torches but after a while one died out and then the other was getting faint. We found a candle and shortly after we got it lit the power went back on. It had lasted for about an hour or more so it was a long power cut.
Love you heaps and heaps, Miss Em and hope everything is going well for you.
lots of love,

Hi Emma,
Hope you are fine. Things are fine here. It has been bit cold recently but today is quite nice. I have to study hard today but hopefully I'll have some time for a bit of a walk.I want to get a lot of my assignment finished this weekend. Grandma is coming to visit next Friday so it will be really nice if I get my assignment out of the way now :-)
I saw a good movie last Tuesday (9/8/05) with my friend Karen. It was called "Steamboy" and it is a Japanese animated movie. It had quite an unusual storyline but is was quite interesting. It reminded me a little bit of Cardcapters (the carton series with Sakura). I don't know if you would like Steamboy but you might :-).
Hope you are really well and fine Miss Em. I'm sending you all my very best thoughts and wishes:-). lots of love,
Aaron :-)

Hello Em,
Hope you are fine. I'm writing this note to you on the train as it is going into Melbourne (I'll type it into the computer later!). For the last couple of weeks I have been catching the train into the Victoria Market after church. It is fun to go the train and fares on Sunday have dropped recently so it only costs $2.50 for a Sunday daily ticket.
It is a cold, wet day today, so it good to be warm in the train. I think it must be quite hot in Beijing now. I hope you are having a good summer there! I really miss you heaps and heaps Em. I think you must be quite grown up now. I really hope you are fine :-). Sending you all my love and my very best wishes.
Love you heaps and heaps,
Aaron :-)
