Hi Emma,
I hope you are well. Things are OK here with me. Yesterday I saw the dentist and I have to have quite a few fillings. Ouch :-( That will teach me for not visiting the dentist for a while, won't it! I'm sure you are much better than me at looking after your lovely teeth :-)
This afternoon I am flying to Launceston for a work conference. The conference will go from Saturday night to Tuesday afternoon. I'll try to take a few photos when I am there and put them up on this web site.
Love you heaps Emma.
Lots and lots of love,

Hi Emma,
Hope you are well. This morning I helped out at the Sunday school at church. I was showing two of the boys from Sudan the computers. The boys' names are Mana and Duc. They were very polite but also very quiet. So I'm not sure if they were interested in what we were doing or not. I guess I will find out at some stage!
After church I had lunch at my friend Victor's house. We had very nice food. I think I ate a bit much, so I had better do some more exercise to burn it off. In the evening I saw a film called "Goodbye Lenin", which was a bit sad but also good to watch. It was about the fall of the Berlin Wall. Part of the story was about a Dad who was separated from his son and daughter when they were quite young. I found that very moving for obvious reasons.
Sending you my love Miss Em and wishing you every happiness.
Lots and lots of love,

Hi Emma,
Hope you are well. Things are OK here. I invited my German teacher, Uschi, and the other students from German Conversation class to my place tonight. It was nice that most of them came :-). I made a feta and vegetable tart and some different dips. I think they tasted OK (No one complained anyway !).It was a nice evening.
Last night I had my Chinese class. It is always fun but I am finding it pretty tough this year. The pace is a lot faster than last year. I'm not sure if I will be able to keep up once my computer courses start but I'll try. Wish me luck Miss Em!
Sending you my love Miss Em. I feel terribly sad sometimes because I miss you so much, but I think I just have to be patient.
Love you heaps and heaps,

Hi Emma,
Hope you are well. I know how I am at this moment - too hot!!! The temperature yesterday was 40C, which is really hard to tolerate. Last night was the worst part. It is difficult to sleep when you are hot and sweaty. Luckily it started raining at about 3am last night so I went out to the back garden to cool down. Lulu was there as well. She seemed Ok but I think cats must find it difficult in the heat with the thick fur coats they wear. Today is better but it is still hotter than is comfortable. I went to church this morning and as usual it was a good service. They had a breakfast for the children before the service. The service was based around what it means to be someone's friend. Graeme, the minister, used a set of Charlie Brown cartoons to illustrate the ideas of friendship.
Wishing you all the very best Emma. I hope you are safe and having fun where you are. I'm always looking forward to the time when I will receive news about you.
Lots and lots of love,

Hello Emma,
Hope you are well :-). The weather has been very funny here lately. Last Sunday it was really hot but today it was quite cold and wet as well. Tomorrow and on to the weekend it is going to be hot again. So it is a very funny summer in Melbourne!
Last weekend wasn't too bad but I didn't really do anything exciting. On Saturday (7/2/04) I had my Chinese class. It is fun but pretty hard work for me to keep up with :-). On Sunday (8/2/04) I went to church as usual. After church I did some preparation for the English Conversation class on Monday. I should have done more things but I was feeling a bit blue because I was missing you.
On Tuesday (10/2/04) I invited some people from the English class to my place. Jay, one of the Korean students was going back to Korea on Wednesday so it was a kind of farewell for him. There was going to be 4-5 people going but it was 8 people in the end so that was nice. My cooking was not too bad either!
Sending you all my love, Miss Em! My continual hope is that this is just a temporary situtation, and that in the long run I will be able to make contact with you again. Until then, I'll just have to send my good thoughts to you and hope you can feel them :-).
Lots and lots of love,

Hi Em,
Welcome to February! Also welcome to a new address for this page. It is http://www.emma.awcook.org. This is more meaningful than the old address (www.bluep.com/~aaron) and hopefully also more easy to find. I hope you like it :-)
I had my first Chinese class tonight. It was really nice to see many of my old class mates, but I found that I had forgotten a lot of characters! I had better get back to it pretty quickly I think.
Last weekend was OK. On Saturday (31/1/04) I rode my bike into the city and back. I rode by on the cycle track by the Eastern Freeway going into the city and then back along the streets through Richmond (Bridge Road), Hawthorn, Camberwell, etc to come back. It was a nice day in the city. I saw a tape of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis that I thought you would like. I'll send it soon (hopefully I will get more information on your address before then, if not I'll send it to NaiNai's old address). Last Sunday (1/2/04) I was on door duty at the church in the morning. It was a nice service where the new elders were commissioned / recommissioned.
Hope you are fine. Thinking of you always and wishing you all the best.
Lots and lots of love,
